Work Days
Volunteers are invited to partner with residents of Denver neighborhoods to complete home and neighborhood improvement projects.
A Typical Work Day
Individuals and groups such as churches, companies, families, organizations, and schools work together on exterior home and neighborhood improvement projects. When a group signs up to volunteer, they can choose the adopt a block project or the alley clean-up/graffiti removal project. When groups do adopt a block, they first survey the area ahead of time. Then notify residents about an opportunity of having volunteers assist with projects at their home. Volunteers will then gather information about the projects they plan to focus their attention on. Projects typically include landscaping, painting, trimming bushes, yard work, or other exterior projects that volunteers can do. When groups participate in alley clean-up and graffiti removal projects, they focus on a community project that includes picking up trash, debris from the alleys and painting over graffiti.
