July Extreme Endeavors: We Surpassed 30,000 Volunteers!!

We are having a great summer over at Extreme Community Makeover! We recently surpassed a huge milestone - 30,000 volunteers who have participated in our projects since we started in 2008! Thank you to each person who has spent time volunteering and making that accomplishment possible.We also hosted a group of nearly 500 volunteers for two days in June from Red Rocks Church. During this time, we were honored to have Mitch Jelniker, from Denver7, stop by to present one of the volunteers, Katie Thomson, with the 7Everyday Hero award! Check out the story and video here. Volunteer Appreciation BBQ Join us for our annual volunteer appreciation BBQ, where we celebrate YOU - our amazing volunteers! We'll be at Barnum Park (360 Hooker Street, Denver, 80219) at 4:30 pm on Sunday, August 6. We'll get some games of volleyball and kickball going, enjoy yummy food from Famous Dave's, and homemade desserts. We'll also share volunteer awards. RSVP Denver Days Denver Days is a program during the first week of August (5-13) that encourages neighbors to get to know their neighbors by hosting block parties, picnics, and service projects with the focus on small, organic gatherings.
