February Extreme Endeavors: An Extra Special Volunteer Spotlight

You may have noticed that volunteers are at the heart of Extreme Community Makeover. That's why we like to highlight a few of these amazing individuals in a volunteer spotlight article we do periodically. The most recent spotlight is extra special though, as it recognizes Eric, a volunteer on the Projects Team for the past eight years. Anyone who has met Eric during an ECM Work Day has been witness to his selfless attitude and willingness to step in wherever needed. And others outside of ECM have also taken notice as Eric was recently awarded the Minoru Yasui community volunteer award at a ceremony at The Denver Foundation last month. Come to learn more about volunteer opportunities and how to get involved, while connecting with others who like to volunteer. Moving forward, these happy hours will be held on the third Thursday of each month. RSVP Extreme Teams Meeting : February 25 The kickoff meeting for our Extreme Teams volunteers is next Monday, February 25 from 6:30-8:00 pm at the ECM office. The volunteers on these ten teams help the Work Days run smoothly as they focus on the following areas. Spring Kickoff : March 14 What better way to start the year than with a party? Our annual Spring Kickoff event will take place on Thursday, March 14 from 6:30-8:30 pm at Converge Denver. Happy hour will be the first order of business, followed by dinner and desserts, along with a time of sharing what Extreme Community Makeover is planning this year. RSVP below to attend. RSVP Extreme Yard Care Crowdfunding Campaign Running a lawn care social enterprise like such as Extreme Yard Care (EYC) requires a lot of equipment, so we will be launching a crowdfunding campaign later this week. Stay tuned for more details about how you can get involved. And let us know if you have any lawn care needs you would like to have EYC take care of for you this year!
