Neighbor-Spotlight-900pxBarnum is one of the eight Denver neighborhoods that Extreme Community Makeover serves in. The neighborhood is named after P.T. Barnum (Barnum & Bailey Circus). History knows him as the circus showman who once famously said, "There's a sucker born every minute." Even though P.T. Barnum never lived in Barnum (as rumor has it), he did purchase some land there.Barnum used to be one of Denver's least desirable neighborhoods. However, things are taking a turn for this historic neighborhood. A top real-estate firm in Denver, Redfin, expects Barnum to be one of Denver's hottest neighborhoods. Housing prices are rising drastically in this area.

It has roughly 22 treas, and they also planted red current, raspberries,  grapes, winter squash, etc. Next door to the orchard is the community "petting zoo" that houses some friendly goats. Currently they are looking for donations in the community to build the goats a barn. If you are interested in donating, contact ECM and we'll put you in contact with Kurtis, one of the community caretakers of the orchard. They also have a beehive next to the orchard in a neighbor's yard.
