Neighborhood Resources in West Denver

Extreme Community Makeover serves in eight Denver neighborhoods, which include Barnum, Elyria, Globeville, La Alma/Lincoln Park, Swansea, Villa Park, West Colfax, and Westwood. Of these neighborhoods, four encompass West Denver, including West Colfax, Villa Park, Barnum, and Westwood, from 17th Avenue to Federal Boulevard to Mississippi Avenue to Sheridan Boulevard. There are a number of great organizations located in West Denver. Here are those organizations and some neighborhood resources for residents to take advantage of. So, jot these down for easy reference!

Confluence Ministries

Confluence Ministries is a nonprofit dedicated to impacting local and global communities with three core strategies:  community development, outreach initiatives, and missions. The ministry is headed-up by Jude and Cindy Del Hierro. Crossroads of the Rockies

Crossroads of the Rockies offers a wide range of services to the community. They are a Christian organization providing relief to people's immediate needs, as well as offering programs to help address the causes of poverty.Here are some classes, resources, and groups available through Crossroads of the Rockies:

Servicios De La Raza

Servicios De La Raza helps to assist low-income members of the community in overcoming the range of problems that result in a lack of resources and contribute to the perpetuation of the vicious cycle of poverty. The organization is a primary service referral channel for many human services agencies and institutions in the Metro Denver region as they encounter Latino clientele.Here are some classes, resources, and groups available through Servicios De La Raza:

Southwest Improvement Council

Southwest Improvement Council (SWIC) is grassroots organization dedicated to serving the people of southwest Denver. The organization is led by  Executive Director Jan Marie Belle.
