July Extreme Endeavors: Summer is in Full Swing
Summer is in full swing around Extreme Community Makeover and we have had lots of volunteers cross our path this summer from Denver and other places around the country! One of my favorite events of the year is coming up where we get a chance to say thank you to those who give their time and efforts to impact the city of Denver through volunteering. | Volunteer Happy Hour : July 18 We're having a Volunteer Happy Hour tonight - Thursday, July 18 from 5:30-7:00 pm at Seedstock Brewery in the West Colfax neighborhood. Come to learn more about volunteer opportunities and how to get involved, while connecting with others who like to volunteer. |
| Volunteer Appreciation BBQ : August 11 Our annual Volunteer Appreciation BBQ will be held on Sunday, August 11 from 4:30-6:30 pm at Barnum Park. We'll have games, volunteer awards, and food from KT's BBQ. I hope you can join us for a fun and relaxing evening at one of Denver's best parks, while celebrating the great work of all our volunteers! |
| Painting with a Purpose : September 5 We are going to have another chance to get your hands dirty through painting...but painting with a purpose! We will be at the Painting with a Twist Studio in LoDo on Thursday, September 5 from 6:30-8:30 pm. Stay tuned for details about how to get tickets. |
