Go:Westwood: Block Party Food Partners
If you haven't heard about Go:Westwood, it's one of the biggest volunteer Work Days Extreme Community Makeover hosts, hundreds of volunteers participating each year. This year's Go:Westwood project will be held on Saturday, May 4th. Volunteers work alongside Westwood residents and focus on various projects like, cleaning up alleys, removing graffiti, cleaning up Alameda Avenue and Morrison Road, cleaning up parks, and preparing a school garden for planting. It's a neighborhood effort to help to revitalize the neighborhood, block-by-block.After the volunteer Work Day, the neighborhood hosts a block party at Westwood Park, from 3:00-4:00 pm. It's a time to enjoy great food and meet the community, while celebrating everyone's hard work that day. Here are the local businesses that have donated food to the block party. Check them out sometime if you're looking for some new places to dine in Denver!
