Spring, Summer, and Fall are beautiful in Colorado. Sure, we enjoy the snow, but when the weather is warmer, we can get out and experience Colorado's outdoor events. Here are some events around Denver that you don't want to miss!

Denver Events in Extreme Community Makeover's Neighborhoods:

Colfax Marathon

The Colfax Marathon is on May 19th and 20th this year. 5280 Magazine awarded the Colfax Marathon Relay as their favorite Denver race to run! And, Runner’s World also picked Colfax Marathon as a favorite. There is a 5k race on Saturday, May 19th, with a health expo. And, Sunday, May 20th, the half marathon, marathon, urban 10 mile, and marathon relay take place.

This year, Extreme Community Makeover is a charity partner of the Colfax Marathon. This is ECM's first time as a charity partner, and we would love to see some more people join us on our race journey through the West Colfax neighborhood!

Click here to register, and select Extreme Community Makeover  from the drop down menu.

All runners will receive an ECM t-shirt!

Plus, patrons get enjoy the historical tours the event offers - attendees get a tour of the historic Holy Transfiguration Cathedral and iconography exhibit.

Chile Fest

On Saturday, September 8, 2018, the Westwood Chile Fest will take place in the Westwood neighborhood. This year is the 8th annual festival. It's a one day event that celebrates Hispanic-centric cultures (that make up 80% of this Denver neighborhood), with a strong focus on authentic food and the arts. It is a free event and is family-friendly.

History of the Chile Fest

The Westwood Chile Fest had its first event back in 2010. The "Chile Fest" name was chosen to represent the Hispanic culture it celebrates--always with a focus on food and the arts, and the goal to showcase the best of what Westwood has to offer. When you visit the festival, you'll get to celebrate with Westwood residents, foodies, and art lovers. We have plenty of exciting things going on throughout the year. So, get out and explore the thriving, beautiful city of Denver.
