It All Revolves Around Community

This month's volunteer story from our Extreme Teams leaders features Alicia. Alicia got her start volunteering with Extreme Community Makeover through participating in Work Days with the Mile High Young Professionals group and then eventually became the leader of the Supplies Team, which makes sure everyone has what they need to get the job done during Work Days.

"Reflecting on all of the experiences I have had with ECM, I will never forget painting an entire house in a day. Leading up to the project, our group collected donations for tools and paint. On the day of the event, we scraped and painted the home in one day. The resident was older and appreciated the support to make her house stand out with a new layer of paint. The whole experience showed me all the different factors that must come together to make a difference. It all revolves around community." Read the full story here.

Neighbor to Neighbor Club Campaign

Even though we can only be in groups of ten people or less, we are still able to show up and "do wonderful work in the community" according to one resident we worked with recently. Another resident said "ECM helps many of us who are not physically able to do things to our property that needed to be done for a long time." Join the Neighbor to Neighbor Club to continue this meaningful work!
