This Neighborhood is One of a Kind

The West Colfax neighborhood is a vibrant community that has a strong heart, and it's definitely one of a kind. The community is working together to transform this neighborhood and they are building a solid foundation. Here are some West Colfax treasures, with a heart to uplift, inspire and add some genuine fun, good taste, and variety to this Denver neighborhood.

Confluence Ministries

Confluence Ministries is a pillar in the West Colfax neighborhood and it's working hard to transform the neighborhood and it's residents. Extreme Community Makeover is thankful to have them as a partner, hosting our Saturday Work Days in the West Colfax neighborhood. Confluence reaches out to the community in a number of ways, offering a variety of programs that range from ESL, GED, Citizenship Preparation, Whiz Kids, MOPS, and Living Waters.

West Colfax Food Co-op

The West Colfax Food Co-op is a unique idea. It's a community owned grocery store that offers fresh, healthy, affordable food in the West Colfax neighborhood. All the profits go back into the community and they source products locally as much as possible. If you are in the area, definitely check this out!

WeCAN (West Colfax Association of Neighbors)

WeCAN was founded in 2009, and it is a nonprofit neighborhood organization serving West Colfax and south Sloan's Lake. The group was formed by residents and property owners within the neighborhood. WeCAN is a Registered Neighborhood Organizations (RNO) and they meet regularly with a common goal to build a safe, healthy, vibrant West Colfax neighborhood.

Tap & Burger Sloan's Lake

Tap & Burger Sloan's Lake is a new restaurant in the West Colfax area. The restaurant is located off of West Colfax, on the corner of Raleigh and Conejos in the Sloan's Lake neighborhood. They source many of their ingredients from local farmers and merchants, all in an effort to build and grow the community. And, this is a plus, kids eat free every Wednesday - from 3-6:30 p.m. (with adult entree purchase).

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema

Nearby Tab & Burger Sloan's Lake is the Almo Drafthouse Cinema. The theater has eight screens for new release movies, and they also feature family and independent films. In addition to playing movies, they have a full, multi-course menu where every meal is prepared from scratch.

Seedstock Brewery

Another West Colfax neighborhood favorite is the Seedstock Brewery. Their main goal is to brew the best tasting beer possible. The name Seedstock comes from the farming trade, a term that means saving the best of what you have now for planting tomorrow. Seedstock Brewery is proud to use that some concept in their brewing.
