During our volunteer days, we have lots of people participating and have all kinds of personalities shining through that put their unique stamp on what we’re doing. During a recent volunteer day, a few volunteers had fun recreating their version of American Gothic, which we will call “Denver Gothic”…volunteer style. Check out the video below to see how that turned out. And check out the rest of this email with more ways you can get involved in Extreme Community Makeover this month.
Come join us for one of the remaining volunteer days on the schedule this fall!
To volunteer, register here. You will receive more specific details from there. Fill out the corresponding liability form as well, choosing “Individual” for the Group Name. Contact Angela if you have questions before signing up.
Our annual Art is in the Air event will be here before your know it! If you haven’t attended before, it’s our signature fundraising event of the year…and it’s a really fun evening! It will be Thursday, November 7 at 7:00 pm! We will be back at The Studios at Overland Crossing for the second year. The evening will include live art and music, food and drinks (plus a special drink just for this event), a raffle, and live and silent auctions where you can get some great stuff while supporting the work Extreme Community Makeover is doing in Denver neighborhoods!
Our next Volunteer Happy Hour is coming up on Thursday, September 19 from 5:30-7:00 pm at Denver Stockyard Saloon. Come hang out with others who like to volunteer and grab a drink or some food.

We have a fundraising opportunity for the Go: Westwood project through Elitch Gardens. Here’s how it works. We need to get a group of at least 5 people (up to 20 people) to cover shifts on the following dates to help with staffing food and beverage concessions.
For each 5 hour shift completed, Elitch Gardens will donate $55.50 to ECM to put towards the Go: Westwood project in 2020! Sign up here. Then I’ll keep you posted with the specific details for the day(s) you’re signed up for.
