It’s been a long month, hasn’t it? It seems like a lot has happened since last month’s newsletter, yet not much as happened. I guess that’s the paradox of the times we’re currently living through that we will all remember for years to come. For now, let’s focus on some of the positive experiences that come from volunteering. This month’s story comes from Carol, who is the leader of the Logistics Team.
As I woke up that morning and I thought to myself, “Do I really want to go do this? If I don’t go, is it really going to make that much of a difference?” Still with some angst, I made the decision to get out of bed and honor my commitment. After three years of volunteering with ECM, I am so happy I made that decision. Read Carol’s story here.

Denver residents will need the services offered by ECM more than ever after coming through the coronavirus pandemic, so our spring fundraising campaign is focused on the Neighbor to Neighbor Club. Anyone who joins between now and Giving Tuesday on May 5, will receive one of ECM’s signature t-shirts with this year’s theme, “You Get What You Give”. |
At this point, the first Work Day of the year is scheduled for Tuesday, June 9, which is the annual Real Estate Industry Work Day. Plans may need to be adjusted, but those details should be determined in the next week or so. Check out the website for more details about getting involved for anyone who works in real estate. The Go: Westwood project that was scheduled for May 9 has been rescheduled to Saturday, September 26. Other scheduled dates can be found on the calendar on the website. |
Supporting local businesses is so important right now. Delicious food abounds in the neighborhoods where ECM works, so check out these options the next time you’re trying to determine a takeout plan for dinner…maybe tonight?
Let’s continue to be good neighbors by spreading smiles and kind words because we can all use more of those right now.
