Program Coordinator


Reports To: Executive Director, Extreme Community Makeover
Location: Denver, CO
Time Frame: Beginning March 2018

A typical day might include the following:
• Prepare for volunteer Work Days
    o  Manage liability forms
    o  Prepare check-in sheets
    o  Prepare project lists & maps
    o  Prepare evaluations
    o  Prepare resource packets
• Assist with a variety of tasks during volunteer Work Days
• Follow-up from volunteer Work Days
    o  Manage volunteer contacts
    o  Send MailChimp emails
    o  Send SendOutCards postcards
    o  Send referrals to partner organizations
    o  Connect residents with additional resources
• Prepare for Survey Days
    o  Prepare door hangers
    o  Print survey forms & maps
• Execute special events
    o  Be integrally involved in fundraising events, especially Art is in the Air
    o  Assist with volunteer events
• Manage contacts through Sales Force
• Perform additional tasks
    o  Oversee thank you cards to donors and volunteers
    o  Assist with other projects and tasks that arise, as needed

• High energy and passion for Extreme Community Makeover's mission
• Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-starter, able to work independently, and entrepreneurial, but also a team player
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of MailChimp, Sales Force, and SendOutCards is ideal, but must be willing to learn, if not familiar with these systems
• Ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders

Compensation & Benefits:
Starting at $2,500/month, to increase depending on experience

Program Manager


Reports To: Executive Director, Extreme Community Makeover

Time Frame: Beginning March 2018

Description:
In the spring of 2017, Extreme Community Makeover (ECM), a Denver-based non-profit that mobilizes volunteers to work in partnership with residents of specific Denver neighborhoods to complete home and neighborhood improvement projects, launched a yard work and lawn care social enterprise (a business that also has positive social impact) called Extreme Yard Care (EYC). The goals of Extreme Yard Care are to provide economic opportunity and work for residents in its target neighborhoods, contribute to ECM's goals of neighborhood stabilization and revitalization, and provide sustainable revenue to the organization in the long-term.

Position Overview:
The Program Manager (PM) for Extreme Yard Care will have the opportunity to use his or her talents and experiences to develop and grow a business that will help the community in this flexible, seasonal role.

Responsibilities:
• Manage the day-to day operations
• Respond to current customers and identify new customers
• Recruit, hire, train, and manage staff
• Schedule jobs
• Develop contracts
• Develop business policies and systems
• Maintain equipment

Qualifications:
• Ability to build a customer base and sales pipeline
• Small business experience in management or ownership, particularly in the lawn care/landscaping industry
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong background and work experience in business management (customers, contracts, staff, etc.)
• Knowledge of basic computer skills
• Commitment to building a positive work environment
• Must be fluent in English and Spanish proficiency is desired (but not required)

Compensation & Benefits:
The position is seasonal and part-time (.75FTE), with the potential to increase to full-time based on the growth of the business. Compensation is $20/hour, with the ability to receive bonuses. EYC will provide equipment such as a truck, mowers, weed eaters, etc. A computer and work phone will also be available for the PM.
